The naturally occurring blue stained pine wood is locally sourced from Colorado. The blue stain pine is incredibly unique to the pine trees in mountain regions impacted by the bark beetle. The blue streaks are a natural byproduct of mother nature doing her part to keep the pine forests healthy and strong. However, in recent years, the beetles are producing more than once a year, and rising temperatures allow for the beetles to reproduce more frequently and at higher elevations. A portion of your purchase will go to support Conservation Colorado and the National Forest Foundation.
